Burrito is a Mexican dish. It is a tortilla with a filling of meat and various vegetables wrapped in it. I suggest you make a burrito with minced meat, tomatoes and a savory sauce – a very juicy version of this dish.
Ingredients (for 3-4 servings):
- Beef – 300 gr.
- Pork – 200 gr.
- Tortilla – 3-4 pcs.
- Cheese – 150 gr.
- Tomatoes – 3 pcs.
- Onion (for minced meat)- 1 pc.
- Red onion (or white salad onion) for the filling – 1 pc.
- Canned beans (optional)
- Leaf salad
- Smoked paprika – 1 tsp
- Adjika – 2-3 tsp
- Mayonnaise (or thick Greek yogurt)
- Salt
Cooking process
1 Twist the meat through a meat grinder. The proportion of beef to pork can be made at your discretion.
Put chopped onion in a preheated pan with vegetable oil. Fry it for 5 minutes. Add minced meat to the onion and fry all together for 15 minutes. After this time, add chopped peeled tomato and smoked paprika to the pan. Now you can add adjika for piquancy (or chili). Salt. Mix well and simmer for 10 minutes.
2 Making the sauce: mix mayonnaise with adjika (I add purchased Caucasian adjika).
3 Put grated cheese, minced meat, sauce, onion, tomatoes on the tortilla. Optionally, you can add to the filling: lettuce, red canned beans or corn.
4 Roll up the burrito. To do this, bend the two side edges to the center, while covering the filling a little. And the bottom edge is also folded. After that, slightly compacting the filling, we begin to roll up the tortilla in a circular motion away from ourselves.
Fry the burritos on the electric grill or dry skillet until lightly crispy.
