Meatballs bombs with cheese with tomato sauce is an interesting and, most importantly, delicious and satisfying dish.
Ingredients:
Meatballs
- Minced meat – 500 gr.
- Mozzarella or Suluguni cheese – 150 gr.
- Eggs – 1 piece
- Onions – 100 gr.
- Garlic – 1 clove
- Dried basil – 1 tsp
- Dried oregano – 1 tsp
- Marjoram – 1 tsp
- Salt
Douth
- All porpoise flour – 230 gr.
- Water – 150 ml.
- Dry yeast – 0.5 tsp
- Sugar – 1 tsp
- Salt – 3/4 tsp
Sauce
- Tomatoes in their own juice – 1 can
- Olive oil – 2 tablespoons
- Garlic – 1-2 cloves
- Dried basil – 1 tsp
- Sugar – 1 tsp
- Salt
Cooking process
1 The first step is to prepare the dough.
Mix flour, yeast, salt and sugar in a bowl. Pour warm water and knead the dough. The dough should not be very tight and stick a little to your hands. Form a ball out of the dough and put it in a greased bowl. Cover the bowl with a towel. We leave it in a warm place for 1.5 hours.
2 Meatballs can be made with any minced meat. It can be pork + beef, lamb or chicken.
Add the egg, finely chopped onion, garlic and all the seasonings to the minced meat. Knead everything thoroughly until a homogeneous consistency is obtained. I usually do this in a food processor.
From the minced meat obtained, you need to form small balls, after putting a piece of cheese inside.
Fry the balls for several minutes over high heat. Then cover and fry until tender over medium heat. Cool it down.
You can also bake them in the oven. Then the cooking time is 25 minutes.
3 Cut out circles 3-4 mm thick from the dough. Place a meat ball in the center of each circle and seal the edges.
Put the resulting balls on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
Grease with an egg. Bake in an oven preheated to 190 C degrees (375 F) for 20 minutes.
4 Only the sauce remains to be prepared. Put chopped tomatoes in a preheated pan with butter. Add sugar, basil and salt and mix. Simmer for 5-7 minutes. Finally add chopped garlic (optional).
Serve meatballs bombs with sauce. If desired, the balls can be sprinkled with finely grated cheese and oregano (or basil) while still warm.
