Summer has arrived, and along with it, new seasonal products have started appearing on store shelves. Now, in almost every supermarket, you can find cold soups in the dairy section.
Cold soup (Chłodnik)
It turns out that locals enjoy eating cold soups during the summer. That’s why during this time, you can find ready-made cold soups in stores. In larger supermarkets, there are usually 5 to 7 such soups available from various manufacturers. Most of them are beetroot soups, but there are also options without the addition of beet juice and beets.
You can find them in both bottles and plastic single-serving cups. For almost all of them, kefir forms the base. Beetroot soup is made by adding concentrated beetroot juice to the kefir. In addition to the liquid base, like in the cold soups familiar to us, they also contain various vegetables (cucumbers, beets, radishes) and herbs.
