Jamon Salad with tomatoes and arugula

And I decided to greet you in Spanish not just like that. Today I want to share with you a recipe for a dish, the main ingredient of which will be the most famous product from Spain – jamon.

This jamon salad with cherry tomatoes and arugula is an example of a restaurant dish that you can quickly and easily cook yourself at home.

Ingredients:

  • Jamon
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Arugula
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Olive oil – 3 tbsp.
  • Balsamic vinegar – 1 tsp.
  • Dried oregano – a pinch
  • Balsamic sauce
  • Black ground pepper – to taste
  • Salt

Cooking process

First of all, wash and dry the arugula.

Wash cherry tomatoes and cut into two halves. Add them to the arugula.

Using a special knife (or vegetable peeler) we make thin slices of cheese. Let’s put them in a bowl. Also add pieces of jamon. Lightly salt, as the jamon is quite salty.

Let’s prepare the salad dressing. Mix olive oil with balsamic vinegar and a pinch of dried oregano. Pour dressing over salad.

Sprinkle the top of the salad with finely grated parmesan cheese. Pepper at will. It remains only to pour the finished salad with balsamic sauce (quite a bit) and you’re done.

This jamon salad is a great option for an aperitif or a light romantic dinner.
