Pizza Sandwich — tasty, quick, and convenient!
These hot sandwiches are wonderfully versatile — perfect for breakfast, as a snack, or even served with soup for lunch or a fresh salad for dinner. The filling tastes just like pizza toppings — that’s how this dish got its name!

Instructions

1. Prepare the tomato sauce.
Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté for about 5 minutes, until fragrant but not browned.
Add the chopped tomatoes along with their juice, dried basil, salt, and black pepper. Stir well and simmer for 10 minutes, until the sauce thickens slightly.

2. Prepare the fillings.
While the sauce is cooking, slice the mozzarella, brie, and smoked sausage. Wash and dry the arugula or lettuce you’ll use for serving.

3. Assemble the sandwiches.
Spread the tomato sauce evenly over one side of each bread slice. Top half of them with slices of sausage and cheese, then cover with the remaining bread slices to form sandwiches.

4. Grill the sandwiches.
Heat an electric grill or grill pan. Grill the sandwiches for about 8–10 minutes, until golden brown and crisp on the outside and the cheese has melted inside.
If you don’t have a grill, you can cook them in a frying pan or a sandwich press.

5. Serve and enjoy.
Sprinkle the hot, crispy sandwiches with grated Parmesan and serve with fresh arugula or lettuce on the side.

Alternatively, you can serve the tomato sauce separately — perfect for dipping your hot pizza sandwiches right into it!

💡 Tip:

Try experimenting with different fillings — pepperoni, mushrooms, or even roasted veggies all work beautifully.
