This elegant blue cheese salad is an example of a restaurant meal that’s easy and quick to make at home. It has only 4 main ingredients, but they are very bright and interesting. All products in the salad are perfectly combined with each other, complementing and revealing each other.
This salad will definitely appeal to gourmets – lovers of blue cheeses.
Ingredients (2-3 servings):
- Lettuce (or mix of lettuce leaves) – 100 gr.
- Blue cheese (danablu, dorblu, gorgonzola or other) – 50 gr.
- Pear – 1 pc. small size
- Walnuts – a handful
- Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp.
- Narsharab (pomegranate sauce) – 2 tbsp.
- Honey – 1 tsp
Cooking process
Fry the walnuts in a dry frying pan for several minutes. Thus, we make them more aromatic.
Peel the pear and cut it into thin bars. Cut the cheese into small cubes. Grind the walnuts. Wash lettuce, dry it and tear it with our hands. If you have a ready-made salad mix, just put it on a plate.
Put all the prepared ingredients on a plate and mix gently. Or you can put lettuce leaves, and put pear, cheese and nuts on top and do not stir.
It remains to prepare the dressing for our salad. Mix vegetable oil with Narsharab sauce and honey. It turns out a rather thick sweetish dressing. Pour the salad with the resulting dressing.
A glass of Sauternes or Tawny Port wine can be served with such a bright blue cheese salad.
