Hot sandwiches with Brie (camambert) cheese and cranberry sauce

Ingredients (for 4 sandwiches):

  • Brie (or Camembert) cheese – 150 g
  • Baton / white bread / brioche / Texas toast – 4 slices
  • Eggs – 2
  • Milk or Half-and-Half – 50 ml
  • Cranberry sauce – 100 g (or make it yourself, see below)
  • Butter – 20 g
  • Salt & pepper

Homemade Cranberry Sauce (if you don’t have one ready):

Fresh cranberries – 100 g

Gelling sugar (or sugar + 1 tsp lemon juice) – 50 g

(Optional: a dash of cinnamon or orange zest for holiday vibes)

1.Crush the cranberries and combine them with sugar in a small saucepan.

2.Simmer over low heat for 15–20 minutes, stirring until thickened.Cool before use.

Tip: Make extra! This sauce is amazing with roast turkey, meatballs, pate, baked beef, or even pancakes and oatmeal.

Sandwich Assembly:

1.Beat eggs with milk, salt, and pepper.

2. Melt butter in a frying pan. Add sage / rosemary / thyme for extra aroma.

3. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, like making French toast.

4.Fry one side until golden. Flip, and immediately place slices of Brie on top.

5. Cover the pan with a lid and let the cheese melt for 1-2 minutes.

Serving: Spread or spoon cranberry sauce over the melted Brie. For extra indulgence, drizzle with honey or maple syrup and sprinkle toasted nuts on top.

Result: Melty Brie + sweet-tart cranberry + buttery toast = pure comfort food bliss.
