If you like soups with aromatic spices, like me, you must definitely love this tomato soup. I add smoked paprika, cumin, coriander and dill seeds to it. And be sure to fresh cilantro! The soup is so aromatic and spicy!
Ingredients (for a 2.5 l saucepan):
- Beef on the bone – 1 kg.
- Rice – 150 gr.
- Tomatoes in their own juice (or fresh) – 380-400 gr.
- Onions – 2 pcs.
- Cilantro – bunch
- Garlic – 3 cloves
- Smoked paprika – 2 tsp
- Ground caraway seeds – 1 tsp
- Ground coriander – 1 tsp
- Dill seed – 1 tsp
- Ground chili pepper – a pinch (optional to add spice)
- Allspice peas – 3 peas
- Ground black pepper – a pinch
- Salt
Cooking process
1 Put the beef on the bone in a saucepan and fill it with water. Put the pan on the fire, bring to a boil and cook for several minutes. Then we drain the water.
Pour water again and cook for 1.5-2 hours, remembering to periodically remove the foam.
2 Finely chop the onion. Saute it until light golden brown in vegetable oil in a preheated frying pan.
Add smoked paprika, caraway seeds, dill seeds, coriander and chili pepper to the onion. Mix well and fry for a few more minutes.
3 Add chopped tomatoes in their own juice or fresh tomatoes without skin to the pan. Stir and simmer for 15 minutes.
4 When the broth is cooked, we take the meat out of it. Separate the meat from the bone and cut it into small pieces. Put back in the stock with broth.
There also lay out the contents of the frying pan and pre-washed rice. Cook for 15 minutes. 5 minutes before the end of cooking, add fresh cilantro stalks to the pan.
At the end of cooking, squeeze the garlic into the soup, mix and salt.
Serve our spicy tomato soup with rice sprinkled with chopped cilantro.
