Ingredients (for 2-3 servings):
- Toast bread – 4 pcs.
- Chicken eggs – 3 pcs.
- Milk – 200 ml.
- Sugar – 1-2 tbsp. (to taste)
- Butter – 20 gr.
- Vanillin – a pinch
- Cinnamon (or nutmeg) – optional
Cooking process
Eggs and milk are best used at room temperature.
1 Break eggs into a deep bowl. Add milk, sugar and vanilla to the eggs. You can also add a pinch of nutmeg or cinnamon if you like.
Next, gently mix all the ingredients with a fork until a homogeneous consistency.
2 Take a slice of bread and dip it well in the resulting mixture on both sides. At the same time, he must be completely saturated with it. If you cut the bread yourself, it is better to make the slices not very thin (1-1.5 cm).
3 Put the bread in the already preheated pan with melted butter. I have 2 large slices of bread in the pan. Fry each slice over medium heat for 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
Ready French toast is served warm. You can sprinkle them with powdered sugar and/or cinnamon. You can pour your favorite topping on toast. Or choose any of the filling I suggested above.
